Pics are a bit blurry I had to take them through the kitchen window.
We haven't done much else today, normal housework stuff and basically lazing about. Hettie started drawing up some rough sketches of her dream house for her buildings and shelters block next week, and made a list of which workmen she thought were needed to build a house. She had her piano lesson and is getting on really well. She's itching to start violin as well, but I'm holding out at the moment - 1) cost, 2) we've got a pretty full week anyway and 3) we'll probably need ear plugs when she practices!!
Issy has played in her room all day which meant it was pretty quiet, but her room looks like a bombs gone off in there. Still you can't have it all ways.

I played the violin for 8 years and sometimes yearn for a chance to play again, played correctly!! it's a beautiful instrument, played incorrectly it sounds like a cat being strangled! Do you have understanding neighbours?!
Wow! The blue-tits didnt hang about did they! I never paid attention to any nature until recently, its pretty amazing stuff.

How fun to have birds living right outside your window.
Our neighbours are elderly and fortunately for them very deaf!!
I sure hope the birds stay for you guys. That would be so much fun to see eggs hatch and watch the baby birds grow. What fun!
As you may know, both my girls play violin. They sounded pretty good from the start, but the thing you have to be prepared for is fitting it into your daily life. Daily practice is a must and it turned out to be quite a chore for me to make sure it happens regularly. Also, I think there is something to be said for playing with a group, so that adds to the whole schedule as well.
We dont even have blue tits here! They look like pretty birds.
My daughter takes grup classes in violin and private violin lessons. Its a committment but I think its worth it. And yes, I too hate the screetching! LOL
